Mallet Winding Machine
The mallet winding machine shown here was developed and
built for me by Mr. Fabian Buschulte as part of a student project at Reutlingen
University. Apart from a few roller bearings, thread inserts and screws, as well
as the purchased counter, it consists exclusively of 3D printed components made
of PETG, which can be produced very easily on any commercially available 3D
printer without support material. The thread force is adjustable and head
diameters of up to 60 mm are possible. Rods up to a maximum diameter of 11 mm
can be clamped by using different clamping tongs. Two different thread materials
can also be used together.
