Pick-Ups

The creation of pickups for vibraphones and marimbaphone is comparatively easy and inexpensive if you are able to use a soldering iron.

The following video shows how to create a pickup using the components listed below.

Needed:

37 x Piezo-Buzzer	Single-core shielded cable
37 x mono angle plug 3,5mm	37 x mono jacks 3,5 mm

The jacks are each wired in two aluminum profiles according to the following circuit. If desired, a logarithmic 100 kOhm rotary potentiometer can be integrated to the frame for easy volume adjustment.
